Under the direction of trombonist/composer/arranger Don Glasgo, the Coast’s student players are steeped in African American, Afro-Caribbean and New Orleans jazz traditions. Their wide-ranging repertoire—including funk and Latin styles—is honed through extended residencies with distinguished guest artists.
