Dartmouth music faculty members Ogle and Hayes, inspired by James Gaines’ book Evening in the Palace of Reason, collaborate with outstanding student musicians in a performance of music by Frederick the Great of Prussia and members of his court, as well as excerpts from The Musical Offering, given by J.S. Bach ​to​ Frederick after the occasion of their meeting​.

This series of free concerts is presented by the Hop and the Dartmouth Department of Music and made possible by support from the Griffith Fund.
