This all-student vocal ensemble explores the flowering of secular vocal arts in England in the 17th and 18th centuries—including music from Purcell’s masque The Fairy-Queen (based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Handel’s Semele (with a story from Ovid’s Metamorphoses).
LOUIS BURKOT director
Led by opera conductor Louis Burkot, this 40-voice student ensemble’s repertory spans four centuries, including masterworks of choral-orchestral literature, fully staged operettas, large and small a cappella works, and the cherished songs of Dartmouth College.
New date/time: This event takes the place of the previously scheduled Feb 17 performance. Please call the Box Office with any questions 603.646.2422
