Masterpieces of Mendelsohn and Brahms
Mendelssohn and Brahms masterworks, with student soloists and guest student/professional orchestra.
This all-student choral group sings excerpts from what are perhaps the two most important Germanic oratorios of the 19th century, which both provide moments of great drama as well as self-reflection. Soloists for the Mendelssohn are Alyssa Gonzalez ’17, soprano, James Regan ’16, baritone, Camilla Tassi ’GR, soprano, and Benjamin Nesselrodt ’19, baritone, and the orchestra is made up of guest professionals alongside student players from the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra.
Excerpts from:
Mendelssohn Elijah
Brahms Ein Deutches Requiem
