To this end, we partner with third party companies worldwide such as Dolby, Lexicon, Mark of the Unicorn, EMAGIC, Focusrite, t.c. Electronics, Apogee, Waves, Steinberg, Cakewalk and Drawmer to make sure that our audio solution produces the best sounding films, CD's, broadcast material and audio for multimedia that is possible.
Among the most important of our third-party products are our "Plug-Ins." These are software modules that drop right into Pro Tools sessions and provide high-quality, real time audio processing such as reverb, pitch processing, surround sound, 3-D sound spatialization, equalization, dynamics, dialogue alignment and formant correction. It continues to amaze our users, over 50,000 in number, that the legendary audio processing available in boxes costing thousands of dollars can be duplicated rigorously, and in a software package that is upgradable, automatable, reliable and extremely easy to use.
As our Pro Tools product improves and as we migrate to new platforms like PCI, Windows '95 and Windows NT, it's vital to keep the third parties in the loop about how our hardware and software are changing so that they can develop products that take advantage of these new Digidesign offerings.
