To All Young Women Musicians:
Those of you who are really turned on by your studies and testing
your wings at composing, performing, researching, and/or teaching
will find a great resource and support network in women-in-music
organizations, especially in the International Alliance for Women in
Music (http://www.iawm.org). Here
student members are able to gain an overview the of the whole field.
For instance, they receive quarterly IAWM Journals and have e-mail
and WEB access to all of the kinds of things women musicians are
doing. They have the opportunity to contact those women whose work
they may emulate.
