Faculty member Kui Dong receives Opera America grant

Faculty member Kui Dong has been awarded an Opera America IDEA Opera Grant (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access). Composer Kui Dong and librettist Monica Datta will receive support for the development of HU TONG (NARROW ALLEY), a fantasy chamber opera that tells the story of an eclectic group of characters living in a Beijing Hu Tong, the series of courtyards and alleyways of traditional Chinese urban living.
