Internationally acclaimed pipa virtuoso Wu Man and a brilliant ensemble of friends launches Lunar New Year with an evening of music from the Golden Age of China.

Wu brings together a brilliant ensemble with Yazhi Guo, suona and Chinese percussion; Kaoru Watanabe, taiko and Japanese flute; and Tim Munro, Western flute. The program, A Night in the Gardens of the Tang Dynasty, explores music from the Golden Age of China, featuring both gorgeous songs recovered from manuscripts of the period and a newly commissioned work inspired by that music.
