The DCWE Spring Performance showcases selections from the Leroy Anderson series, a collaboration with the Flute Studio, and three world premieres. The three premieres, commissioned through the Smedinghoff Gift include 40 Days by Greg Brown, performed live over Zoom, an unnamed work from Henry Vega - a work using sounds recorded by the DCWE to create an electronic soundscape over which the ensemble performs, and a film collaboration between Brent Michael Davis and Joseph Fairbanks, with the original score performed by the DCWE. Interspersed will be conversations between collaborators and the DCWE community.
