The Coast Jazz Orchestra celebrates the music of two of Bynum's big band mentors, James Jabbo Ware (leader of NYC's Me We and Them Orchestra, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 80), and Mark Harvey (leader of Boston's Aardvark Jazz Orchestra, which just celebrated its 50th anniversary). The concert will also feature a performance by (and Coast collaboration with) Hear In Now—the internationally acclaimed improvising string trio, featuring violinist Mazz Swift, bassist Silvia Bolognesi, and cellist Tomeka Reid (who is in residence for the year as one of Dartmouth's 23-24 Roth Fellows).
