The ensemble performs Mendelssohn's 3rd Symphony, "Scottish", inspired by the composer's journey across the scenic and rugged landscapes of Scotland as a young man.

The program also features the jazz-inspired orchestral music of Jessica Pavone, When the World Changes Around You, and the cello concerto, Essay No. 1, of Roth Visiting Scholar Tomeka Reid, with the composer as soloist.
