Dartmouth College Symphony Orchestra

A celebration of Leonard Bernstein, featuring music he wrote and excelled at conducting.

Saturday, November 10, 2018
8:00pm – 11:00pm
Hopkins Center 123 Spaulding Auditorium
Intended Audience(s): Public
Categories: Performances

The orchestra’s fall program launches the Hop’s Leonard Bernstein Centennial Celebration as it prepares for its December Italian tour. Two sparkling Bernstein works are paired with Mahler’s fifth—Bernstein was one of the greatest Mahler conductors—and a work by William Grant Still, who broke multiple Jim Crow barriers to contribute marvelous music to the American canon.
