Epilepsy and the "Mozart Effect": Prof. Casey Publishes New Article in ISR Journal

Professor Michael Casey and co-authors Robert Quon and Barbara C. Jobst published a new article in Interdisciplinary Science Reviews discussing recent findings by members of the Epilepsy and Cognition Lab at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Brain, Emotions, and Affective Sound (BEAtS) Lab at Dartmouth College. In discussing these recent experiments, Prof. Casey and his co-authors provide new insights into the neural and physiological mechanisms at play in music-based treatments for epilepsy and other brain disorders, further understanding of the mysterious "Mozart effect," and offer an important contribution to the growing interdisciplinary field of music medicine.
