Guitar Lessons
Student teachers: If you are an advanced student guitarist at Dartmouth interested in earning some money by teaching fellow students, you must take at least one full three-term sequence of IIP Guitar with Scott Sanchez or Jason Ennis and get their permission to become a student teacher. Then, you can add your information to the Dartmouth Guitar Exchange contact sheet. You must be logged into your Dartmouth College Google account to view and edit the page.
For guidance in teaching beginning guitarists, please feel free to reach out to Jason Ennis or Scott Sanchez. They can provide you with materials, methods, and other teaching resources.
Feel free to use a music department practice room as your teaching space or reserve a room in the music department for your lessons.
Guitar students: Are you a beginner interested in learning the guitar, or a near-beginner looking to develop your guitar skills through affordable lessons? See the DGE contact sheet for a list of student teachers offering beginning guitar lessons. Contact a student teacher directly to introduce yourself, inquire about their availability, and schedule lessons.
Please note: Lessons organized through Dartmouth Guitar Exchange are independent arrangements between students and are not part of the music department's Individual Instruction Program. As such, students do not receive a grade or credit for DGE-facilitated piano lessons.
