Grace Kallman '25 Releases Debut Singles

Grace Kallman '25 (performing as Grace Katherine), a music major, cellist, and singer-songwriter, rang in the new year with releases of her debut singles "Romcom Love Story" and "If It Kept On Ringing." The songs, both of which began as projects in Assistant Professor César Alvarez's MUS 36 (Songwriting 1), are collaborative indie-pop products of Kallman's work with classmates Nicolas Halverson '26 (a.k.a. Dj.halver) and Andrew Brozek '25. Kallman provided lyrics and lead vocals on "Romcom Love Story," while Halverson produced; both composed the music. "If It Kept On Ringing," whose lyrics reflect on the 2017 Tubbs fire in California that destroyed the homes of Kallman and her best friend, was co-written by Kallman and Brozek, who produced and provided guitar.
