Led by ethnomusicologist/drummer Hafiz Shabazz, the ensemble’s repertoire ranges from ancient African to Brazilian and Latin American rhythms. Along with teaching the ethos and technique of world percussion traditions, the ensemble offers students opportunities to work closely with guest artists.
