Under the direction of Music and Performing Arts Librarian Memory Apata, the Department of Music and the Dartmouth Library are joining forces to launch a new concert series on campus. The Library Concert Series, which begins this week, will feature free performances by Dartmouth students, faculty, and staff every other Thursday at 12:30 PM in the picture-perfect East Reading Room of Baker-Berry Library.
To kick off the series, this Thursday's concert features works for strings and piano by Anderson, Bach, Gounod, Mozart, and Vieuxtemps, performed by Dartmouth students and Music Department faculty.
The Library Concert Series welcomes performers of any and all musical styles and genres among Dartmouth students, faculty, and staff. With open-minded programming, flexible setup, and an encouraging environment, the series provides a new, casual venue for music-making on campus. If you or your group is interested in performing, head to the Library Concert Series website for details and a link to the application form.
For announcements of future Library Concerts, consult the Music Department events page.
